I stood there crying, tears rolling down my eyes,
waiting beyond the silence, to sever all ties,
The pen was down and the chairs were being pulled,
The court had made it’s decision, the opposition over ruled,
We were not to see each other again, not anymore,
Nothing was ever going to be like before,
But daddy I love her, said I out loud,
while he sweeped me off the room with watery eyes, through the crowd,
And that was the last time I ever saw her, crying in the distance,
my very own mother, about to face the guns…
